Born on June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Argentina, to Jorge and Celia Messi, by the time Lionel Andrés Messi Cuccittini turned four, his father had already spotted his talent in football. Watching the fragile dwarf ‘Leo’ play so well with his older brothers, Rodrigo and Matías, and cousins, Maximiliano and Emanuel Biancucchi, his father decided to train him at the local Grandoli Club.
